Elections for Village Council Commissioners, Districts 58 and 99 School Boards, and the Park District are on the April 1st, 2025 ballot. What position do the candidates take on environment? Greener Grove submitted  questions to all those running for office in town to find that out.  This is not an endorsement of any candidate.

  1. What is your vision for the Village of Downers Grove from an environmental sustainability perspective?

  2. How should the Village help residents live more sustainably, as it moves the community down the path to greater environmental sustainability?

  3. How do you see the Village of Downers Grove’s operations becoming more sustainable?  (Police, Fire, Public Works, Administration, etc.)

  4. Should the Village encourage or require builders to build greener buildings?  If so, how?

  5. The urban forest is a key element to the Downers Grove community.  How would you work to maintain its integrity and ensure its continued growth for decades and centuries to come?
