Earth Week 2025
Greener Grove is preparing a series of Earth Week events for our Community. We are partnering with the Village of Downers Grove, the Park District, Downers Grove North High School, The Sanitary District, Alter Brewing, LMK Studios, and St. Luke Church to bring you a whole week's worth of fun and celebration for this home we share!
Monday, 4/21, 7pm
Earth Week Trivia
Enjoy a beer while participating in earth-related trivia at Alter Brewing in Downers Grove!
There will be prizes for the winners.
$1 per beer of 4-pack purchased will be donated to Greener Grove
Tuesday, 4/22
Sustainability Plan Presentation
VoDG Sustainability Coordinator, Jason Michnick, will unveil the Village's Sustainability Plan,
Time & Location TBD.
Friday, 4/25, 9am
Sanitary District Tour
Join us for a tour of the Downers Grove Sanitary District to understand what happens with our waste water and how the sanitary district protects our public and environmental health.

Voices of the Next Generation
Fundraiser Concert featuring student performances of music and poetry that explore themes of connection to nature. Zero-waste reception to follow. Suggested donation: $10/person, Ages 18 and under are free.

Belmont Prairie
Meet at Belmont Prairie for a scenic walk all about the wildflowers! The walk will be approximately 90 minutes and on uneven terrain.

Park Clean-up
Help the Downers Grove Park District keep our parks clean and free of litter. Join us in picking up trash, spreading mulch, and more.
Gloves will be provided.
